HOW IT WORKS
HOW IT COMPARES

For quick and accurate diagnosis, the Multifunction CardioGram (MCG) can distinguish between cardiac chest pain and non-cardiac pain.

The MCG picks up microvascular disease (small vessel disease), a common coronary disease problem for women that is still undetected by traditional testing methods.

​

When compared to traditional testing methods, MCG has consistently been shown to be more accurate and able to detect ischemia at earlier stages, enabling doctors to help their patients earlier in the disease process and thereby save lives.

 

The results from MCG have been validated in double-blind clinical studies where the system has demonstrated accuracy comparable to coronary angiography (90% overall sensitivity, 85% specificity).

MCG is an invaluable tool at yearly physical exams by presenting a cardiovascular score that can be compared from year to year which allows patients to objectively measure their progress and adjust their lifestyles and treatment as needed.

MCG testing consists of four clamps, two on the wrists and two on the ankles. There is a fifth electrode placed on the outside of the left chest wall (V5). You simply lie still for 8-10 minutes and you are done. ​​
